Near the city of Pofadder in South Africa´s North Cape Province, you will find South Africa´s first parabolic trough plant. This 100 MW project with 3 hours of storage capacity will soon produce clean, stable and reliable electricity to many South African homes and business and save 315.000 tons of CO2 emissions a year!

Kathu Solar Park is a concentrated solar power (CSP) thermal energy power plant, located near Kathu in the Northern Cape province of South Africa. It has a capacity of 100.0 megawatts (MW), and full-load molten storage capacity of 4.5 hours. It covers an area of approximately 800 hectares (1,977 acres)

The city of Rjukan does not see the sun for about six consecutive months in the winter period as it lies deep in the valley. In the city of Rjukan in Norway, our customer placed a system of heliostat mirrors on the mountain slope, in close cooperation with the local authorities. The heliostat mirrors will illuminate the town square in the winter period. Our mirrors enhance not only the conversion of sunlight to clean electrity, they literally bring the sun to the people!

Near the city of Upington in South Africa´s North Cape Province, you will find South Africa´s first central tower plant plant. This 50 MW project, with several new groundbreaking technologies, is also the first plant equipped with Rioglass´ new heliostat mirror facet technology. A new integrated product with optimized characteristics helping to further develop the CSP tower technology. Soon clean, stable and reliable electricity will flow to many South African homes and business and save 183.000 tons of CO2 emissions a year.
